Maricela Alvarado
is the first Latino Cultural Center director. Alvarado started her
position at Purdue University in March 2004. She received her master's
of education degree at the University of Florida and two bachelor's
of arts degrees in English and Spanish at Washington State University.

Marisol Uribe, Secretary V
Oliver Beatty, Graduate Assistant, began his position with the LCC Spring 2006. He will direct the Embajadores, Latino Leadership Retreats, Community Outreach efforts, among coordinating various LCC programs, projects and services. Oliver received his B.A. in History and Philosophy from Purdue University in 2005 and is currently finishing a masters program in Education. His area of interest is regarding social justice, solidarity for the Latino community, and service learning.
Embajadores are also considered LCC staff.
They contribute their talents, service, and dedication to the mission
of the LCC.
