About LCC
About the Center

¡Todos Son Bienvenidos!

“All are welcome!”

Is the guiding philosophy of the latino cultural center. The LCC was established in 2003 as place to gather, learn, share, and support latino cultures. The LCC seeks to promote diversity through education and programming but also acts as a home away from home among Latinos at purdue. the LCC serves as an educational-cultural foundation for all students, faculty, and staff members with cultural programming.

Educational, social, professional and cultural events are hosted and sponsored by the center throughout the year. Some examples are service learning and engagement projects, language appreciation and education, cultural entertainment, poetry and professionalism workshops. These events are designed to foster open relations, with all walks of people across campus and in the community, in a celebration and education of latino culture.

In addition with programming the LCC also provides an array of resources for latino students and visitors to the center. Some of these resources are an iTap computer lab, Latin American book library, study room, lounge area with bilingual cable options and a conference room for meetings and planning student activities. The center’s facilities exist to create an environment for successful education as well as support for a culture that is both familiar and essential to the Purdue academic community.
