Visit Chicago

Located two hours north of Purdue University, Chicago is the third most populous city in the country, behind only New York City and Los Angeles. Chicago is home to the Chicago Bears professional football team, the Chicago Bulls professional basketball team, the Chicago Blackhawks professional hockey team, and one of the biggest rivalries in professional baseball, the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox, who play each other every season in the Crosstown Classic.

In addition to sports stadiums like Wrigley Field, popular Chicago attractions include the world-renowned Art Institute of Chicago, which houses the third largest permanent collection in the country, and the Shedd Aquarium, one of the largest indoor aquariums in the world. Chicago is also home to Millennium Park, the 24 acre award-winning center for art, music, and architecture. The tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, the Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower), is a favorite image of the Chicago skyline. Navy Pier is a popular destination for people of all ages looking for gardens, shops, eateries, and attractions like the 150 foot Ferris wheel. Countless movies have been filmed in Chicago and visitors might catch a glimpse of one being filmed.
