Interns for Indiana Program
Amy Childress, Intern Coordinator

The Interns for Indiana (IfI) program places high-achieving Purdue students from a wide variety of majors with internships at high-tech start-up companies located in Indiana. The program was initially funded through a $3.5 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. with the goal of accelerating company growth, providing students with a unique educational experience, and showcasing professional employment opportunities in Indiana for Purdue graduates. The program runs during the academic year (fall and spring semesters) and the summer. Academic year students typically work 100-150 hours per semester in exchange for course credit and a $500 stipend. Summer interns work 400 hours and receive a $4,500 stipend. IfI students also can receive credit toward the Undergraduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
