Type of Aid: Statutory fee remission.
Source of Funds: State of Indiana. Administered by State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana (SSACI).
Eligibility Criteria: Parent must have entered service in U.S. armed forces while a resident of Indiana, and have become a POW or MIA during the Vietnam War.
Application Form(s) Required: Application available from DFA or can be printed from the Department of Veteran’s Affairs website. Eligible applicants must also file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Application Procedures: Submit the original verified IDVA application to DFA.
Application Deadline: Two weeks before the end of the semester. Not retroactive to periods before completed IDVA application, FAFSA and any requested verification documents are received at DFA.
Amount of Award: Dollar amount equal to tuition and mandatory fees.
Period of Eligibility: 124 credit hours of degree program.
