Below are some privately funded scholarships which require separate applications. The information below contains description of eligibility requirements, application deadlines, and, if available, links to the specific application or more information about the scholarship.
Central Indiana Community Foundation Scholarships are given to enable students in the community complete a degree in higher education. Over 100 scholarships will be awarded in 2007. With the generosity of donors these scholarships are renewable. Partial awards and full ride scholarships are provided through the foundation. Applications for this scholarship are no longer being accepted for the 2007-08 academic year.
The Department of Homeland Security Scholarship and Fellowship Program provided financial support for approximately 100 Scholars and Fellows in its last cycle. Questions can be sent via e-mail to dhsed@orau.org.
The Freeman-EAS Program, sponsored by the Freeman Foundation, offers emergency educational allowances to undergraduate students from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand at accredited U.S. institutions whose ability to pursue their studies has been seriously affected by the December 2004 earthquake/tsunami.
The Future Engineers Scholarship Program is offered by Kelly Engineering Resources to provide one sophomore or junior level student with $5000 to help with 2008 tuition expenses. Applications for this scholarship are no longer being accepted for the 2007-08 academic year.
The Fund for Veteran's Education is for veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan starting in the spring 2008 term. The awards, which may be renewed for following academic year, are intended to cover financial need not met by need-based grants and military education benefits. The Gates Millenium Scholarship is for
African American, American Indian/Alaska Natives, Asian Pacific Islander Americans, and Hispanic American undergraduate students in all disciplines and graduate students studying
mathematics, science, engineering, education, or library science. For more information visit www.gmsp.org.
The Gilman Scholarship Program for Study Abroad supports undergraduates with high financial need to study abroad. Students are encouraged to choose non-traditional study abroad destinations such as Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe or Latin America. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application.
The Phillip Huffine Memorial Wellness Scholarship is offered by the Wellness Council of Indiana (WCI) for which Phillip Huffine was the founding Executive Director. The WCI is dedicated to the promotion of good health and wellness for all Indiana citizens through workplace initiatives. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students who are completing a degree in the field of wellness and/or health promotion. Three individual $1000 scholarships will be granted annually. Applications for this scholarship are no longer being accepted for the 2007-08 academic year.
The Roberta Curts Purdue University Scholarship program was established by the late Roberta Curts for Frankfort Senior High School graduates who have completed at least two semesters at Purdue with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.65.

The Sallie Mae Fund Scholarships include many different scholarships. See the Sallie Mae Fund website for more information on the scholarships they offer.
The Senior Citizens Tuition Exemption gives a 50% tuition exemption for those retired, not employed on a full-time basis, and at least sixty years old who desire to take any open courses at Purdue Universtiy.
USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships, managed by Scholarship Management Services, awards up to $2.85 million in renewable scholarships to students demonstrating financial need.
