Dr.
Janina Latack is a career consultant, executive coach and speaker
specializing in leadership development and career resilience. In her
13 years as a faculty member in the College of Business at Ohio State
University, she established a national reputation in research on career
transitions and stress. She has been an adjunct faculty member at
the University of Arizona College of Business, and is also an Affiliate
Consultant with Right Management Consultants.
In addition to coaching executives and professionals in her private
practice, she delivers lively, high-impact workshops and presentations,
including "Coaching Skills for Managers" and "Re-Igniting the Fire
at Work: How to Rejuvenate a Stalled Career." She specializes in applying
assessment tools to leadership effectiveness with a focus on the Myers-Briggs
Type Indicator (MBTI) and other tools that prompt managers to develop
their leadership capabilities.
Dr. Latack has presented at the annual meeting of the Western Association
of College and University Business Officers (WACUBO) and serves on
the faculty for the WACUBO Executive Leadership and Management Institute
at Stanford each summer.
She began her career with the UCLA Placement and Career Planning
Center, moving on to the University of Michigan Career Planning and
Placement Center. As an entrepreneur, she was a partner in the company
Cheapskates, a roller-skate rental business for Michigan State University
students.
She earned her Master's degree in Higher Education Administration,
and her Ph.D. in Business from Michigan State University. She is certified
as a Career Counselor by the National board for Certified Counselors
and the State of Arizona
