Re: BUSINESS OFFICE MEMORANDUM NO. 65
(Superseded by Memorandum 75 dated June 7, 1962)
Change in Vending Machine Program in Academic Buildings
For the past two years the University has been able to retain a five-cent price on bottle and cup vended Coca-Cola. The Coca-Cola Company has now indicated that the costs of equipment, product, and services have now increased to the extent that it is necessary to raise the price of Coca-Cola.
Effective on or about the first week in August the sale price of the individual bottle or cup vended Coca-Cola will increase from five cents to ten cents.
The commission rate to the departments will remain the same as at present. Ten per cent of the gross sales go to the department responsible for the machine location. A check will be sent each month to the department head, after auditing by the Food Stores Department which is responsible for the vending program.
Should there be any questions concerning this changeover or any service problems, contact Mr. W. E. Burget at the Food Stores Building, telephone 92-2991.
This memorandum is supplemental to Business Manager and Assistant Treasurer's Memorandum No. 49, dated 1 February 1956.
