Re: BUSINESS OFFICE MEMORANDUM NO. 30

Security and Theft from Buildings

It is noted that there is an increasing number of security weaknesses in the various buildings on the campus as reported by the Chief of Police. Numerous doors and windows are being left unlocked and valuable tools, instruments and other equipment are left in places where they are susceptible to theft. At the same time we are experiencing an increasing number of thefts from our various buildings.

It is the responsibility of all staff members to take every precaution to protect University property or property that is in the custody of the University. I shall appreciate your cooperation in counseling with staff members in order to be certain that we correct the existing security weaknesses.

R. W. Kettler
Business Manager and
Assistant Treasurer
