Purchase of Capital Equipment from XR Fellowship Grants

From time to time requisitions are received for the purchase of capital equipment from XR Fellowship Grants. It has been a general policy that unless the equipment was specifically requested in the original budget and unless evidence is submitted to the effect that equipment is not otherwise available and a statement is made relative to the continued usefulness of the equipment after the completion of the XR project, XR funds are not to be used for the purchase of the capital equipment.

In the future any requests for capital equipment from XR Fellowship funds will be returned to the department unless provision for such purchases was made at the time the grant was originally established.
