WEST LAFAYETTE
TUITION AND FEE
RATES
2006 - 2007
(All University fees are subject to change
without notice.)
In the fall of 2001, the
Board of Trustees of Purdue University adopted a five
year strategic plan that included a fee increase to first
time Purdue students on the West Lafayette campus, effective
with the fall 2002 semester. Half of these fees go toward
increased financial aid and technology that students use.
All undergraduate, graduate, and professional
students not enrolled as degree-seeking students in the Spring
2002 Semester on the West Lafayette Campus are charged the
higher fee and are classified as a "new" student
for purposes of tuition and fees. The "new" student
fee rate continues for each semester enrolled.
In order to maintain eligibility for the lower
fee, those students enrolled prior to Fall 2002 must remain
continuously enrolled on the West Lafayette campus during
the fall and spring semesters. These students will pay
the lower fee until the date of attainment of one degree or
until the Fall 2007 Semester, whichever comes first.
In the spring of 2005, the Board of Trustees of Purdue University approved a new fee, designated to maintain and improve academic and administrative facilities and infrastructure on each campus. This 'Repair and Rehabilitation Fee' is assessed each semester to all students who began enrollment on the West Lafayette campus in the Summer or Fall Semesters of 2006 and thereafter. In order to maintain eligibility to be exempted from this fee, those students enrolled the Spring 2006 semester must remain continuously enrolled on the West Lafayette campus during the fall and spring semesters. These students will be exempted from the assessment of the Repair and Rehabilitation fee until the date of attainment of one degree or until the Fall 2011 Semester, whichever is first.
