Jazz artist makes quick stop at Purdue

Ryan CohanThe Ryan Cohan Quartet, featured guest artists at the 2003 Purdue Jazz Festival, returns to town on Thursday, Sept. 13, to do a clinic for Purdue’s jazz students at 6 p.m. at  Slayter, then play a set from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Thursday, at the Boiler Market on South Street in the West Lafayette Village. Admission is free.


Pianist, composer and arranger Ryan Cohan is touring with his quartet, made up of Geof Bradfield, Lorin Cohen and Michael Raynor, this September in support of a new record coming out on Motema Music. In addition to club and concert performances, Cohan’s itinerary includes an international tour sponsored by Jazz At Lincoln Center.
