Dan Campbell, Dustin Nicholson named Purdue drum majors

Dan Campbell of Mishawaka, IN, and Dustin Nicholson of Minooka, IL were named drum majors of the Purdue "All-American" Marching Band and will lead the band during 2007-08.
Jay S. Gephart, Director of the "All-American" Marching Band, announced the decision following a long afternoon of tryouts on April 27.
A senior education major and graduate of Penn High School , Campbell plays trombone and first served as drum major for the marching band in 2006-07. He also performs with the Purdue Jazz Band, Purdue Symphonic Band and the Boiler Hot Club, a Dixieland band.
Nicholson, a graduate of Minooka High School, is a senior majoring in building and construction management. He is a trumpet player and also performs with Varsity Band.
The naming of drum majors completes the leadership selection process for the 2007 "All-American" Marching Band. Section and ranks leaders are listed below, as well as office heads for 2007-08:
