TODD WARD, Purdue Bands Graduate Assistant in Jazz, comes to us from Highland, IN, where he served as the high school’s Director of Bands for four years. He is a 2002 graduate of Ball State University with a B.S. in Instrumental Music Education and a minor in Applied Physics.  While attending Ball State, Ward performed in all university ensembles and traveled with the BSU Jazz Lab Ensemble to festivals and competitions, including a European tour in summer 2001.  In the fall of 2000, Ward received an invitation to play with the Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra and performed with the group for several seasons before entering public education.
