Daily Campus Visits
The Office of Admissions offers four Daily Campus Visits Monday—Friday throughout the year (with a few exceptions) and one on Saturdays during the academic year.
All Daily Campus Visits include a 45-minute information session, and most include a 90-minute campus walking tour that includes a residence hall and student room in a residence hall. Guests may customize a visit using our recommendations below.

Selecting a Visit Program
The vast majority of our daily campus visits include the full program described above. However, some are "limited," typically during academic breaks during or between semesters.
Limited Tours
When registering, you will be able to identify limited programs by the "(limited)" that appears in the Event Type field. If that appears, click on the "view detailed information" link in the Title to see a description of the event. Below also are descriptions of the limited programs.
Customize Your Visit
There are various ways you can customize your visit.
- Students interested in engineering may schedule an Engineering Information Session (EIS). (Families that schedule an EIS should not select a 9:45 a.m. or 12:45 p.m. time for an Office of Admissions Daily Campus Visit on the same day.)
- Attend a class.
- Schedule a meeting with another department on campus, such as student services or academic advising.
- Shadow a current Purdue student.
- Eat in one of Purdue's award-winning dining courts.
- Attend an on-campus athletic event or artistic performance.
- Visit the Recreational Sports Center.
- Check out educational pricing on computer equipment at the Information Technology at Purdue (ITaP) shopping facility.
Driving and Parking Directions
Daily Campus Visits begin at the Office of Admissions, Room 109 Schleman Hall. Get driving directions to our recommended parking areas, Grant Street Garage or Northwestern Avenue Garage, and use this map to see the best pedestrian route to Schleman Hall from the parking garages. More information about parking is provided via email to those who schedule a visit.
Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing appropriate to Indiana's seasonal weather.
West Lafayette Time Zone
Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, is on Eastern time (same time as the East Coast) throughout the year.
Descriptions of Limited Tours
All Daily Campus Visits include a 45-minute information session. If a program is identified as "limited" you can use the program descriptions you'll see when registering to know how the campus tour portion is limited. In addition, the following descriptions may help.
Saturday visits: All Saturday visits are limited in that tour groups visit a residence hall but do not see a student room within the hall. A virtual tour of University Residences is available online.
Visit with bus tour: Offered very sparingly, visitors take a bus tour of campus, which is typically hosted by an Admissions staff member. Tours of student residence halls are not included in bus tour visits. A virtual tour of University Residences is available online.
Academic campus only: Offered very sparingly, the walking tour includes only the academic campus; tour groups will not visit student residence halls. A virtual tour of University Residences is available online.
Presentation only: Offered very sparingly, only when students and many staff members are unavailable. The programs includes an admission presentation only and visitors are offered a booklet with which they can take a self-guided walking tour. A virtual tour of University Residences is available online.
